Here, I’ll give you my favourite list where you can download ebooks for your iPad. (when I name it FAVOURITE.. yes the FREE factor is included)..lol. All of these list is free, so you can download any ebooks you want with no brainer.
These are some sites that have FREE ebooks that are already in ePub format. They will import and read as is in iBooks.
1. ePub Books – MobileRead Forums
This forum is awesome. You’ll find so many ebooks in different format (ePub format included). The browsing is easy because the ebook is separated by genre.
2. ManyBooks.net – Free eBooks for your iPad, smartphone, or eBook reader.
There are more than 28,000 eBooks available here and they’re all free!. Browse through the most popular titles, recommendations, or recent reviews from our visitors
3. epubBooks.com – Free EPUB eBooks for your mobile eReader – Unleash Your Books.
epubBooks provides a great selection of high quality EPUB eBooks for anyone to download and read, and all absolutely for free.But they don’t yet provide bestsellers here on epubBooks.
4. Feedbooks | Food for the mind
This site is not just for dowloader but also for uploader. So if you are people that have good writing capability,it is great site for you.
5. http://www.baen.com/library/
Baen Books is now making available — for free — a number of its titles in electronic format. We’re calling it the Baen Free Library. Anyone who wishes can read these titles online — no conditions, no strings attached. (Later we may ask for an extremely simple, name & email only, registration. ) Or, if you prefer, you can download the books in one of several formats. Again, with no conditions or strings attached. (URLs to sites which offer the readers for these format are also listed.

These were created from the free books available as part of Project Gutenberg. Of all eBook formats, I chose the epub standard because it’s open and well-documented, it makes good use of existing standards, and the FBReader eBook reader program can read epub files. Most importantly, FBReader is the only eBook reader that I know can run on the OLPC XO laptop.
